The Heywood Business Support Programme
This has been set up as part of the Heywood NDC (New Deal for Communities) initiative.
The Business Support Team is located in the TOPS Business Centre (formally The Old Police Station). We are able to offer a ‘One Stop Shop’ for the Heywood business community.
Whether you are looking to start up or already own a business and want to grow or develop, we can provide an easy to use service to help you move forward.
Whatever your situation, the team at the Heywood Business Support Programme have the facilities, resources and expertise to help you.

Want to start your own business?
Owning your own business can be a challenging, life changing and rewarding experience.
Is this something you have dreamed of doing yourself but are perhaps uncertain about how to go about it? Are you worried by the possible risks involved?
We can help you by talking to you individually, in private and in confidence. You can explain to us what it is you want to do and let us give you simple and expert advice, so you are supported each step of the way and can work towards your goal. You can work at your own pace with the knowledge that professional help is always on hand should you need it.
As well as helping you develop your initial ideas, we can provide business skills training.
Already running your own business?
If you are the owner of an existing business you may have a particular issue you would like help to deal with. You may be interested in growing or developing your business and would like expert advice (in strict confidence) before committing yourself.
In addition, we will be arranging training sessions specifically aimed at business owners on topics you tell us are most important to you.
Networking Opportunities
The Heywood Business Group provides the opportunity for all local business owners or managers to network and share ideas, experiences and information, rather than remaining isolated. It provides a platform for discussing problems, as well as providing the opportunity to expand your own network of business contacts.
